All work & no play / Getting crunchier all the time!
Grandpa & Grandma Prestrud arrived yesterday! It’s so wonderful to have them here. And for the first time..someone besides Charlie got to feel Elliot move! My mom & grandma did @ the same time - he gave them a nice little kick hello!
We all went to Charlie & Danny’s game & they won, but poor Dan got sick & even though he played well, he didn’t get to play much b/c of how sick he was. You should’ve been there to see six of us adults squeeze into Charlie’s truck for the ride home!
Today I am at work…while everyone else is home. BUMMER. But I really want to save all my time for when Elliot comes…I know it’s a smart decision, and being here really isn’t all that bad.
So….I think the internet has a way of making me crunchy!! For those who haven’t heard that term before, it is used to refer to someone who does things ‘naturally’ - the term came from granola - it being healthy & natural …and, well - crunchy. So as I spend time on the net, on message boards, etc. and learn more & more about different ways of doing things, I keep getting interested in crunchy stuff. Right now I am very seriously considering cloth diapering. There are many reasons to consider it, number one being saving money! They are also healthier for baby & environment, as well as the modern ones are practically as simple as disposables - with the exception of having to wash them. But because I’ll be a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM from now on) & we have a washer & dryer I dont’ think that will be a big issue. I am doing tons of reading on the topic, then discussing it all with Charlie. Sometimes I think for sure I’ll do it - other times I’m not so sure. It will be cheaper to begin with, but then w/ subsequent children - using the same cloth diapers it could literally save us thousands of dollars - I have a hard time not giving that some serious consideration. Plus, the covers on cloth diapers nowdays are so cute - they come in just about every design imaginable - way cuter than ’sposies.
My guess was right! I knew it right from the beginning
I dont have to say, but I am sooo happy for you two! Too bad I cant rub your belly, but maybe with the next one Ill come and visit later…
I had to laugh at this entry….the internet has made this "crunchy" girl even crunchier too! Man, those crunchy mamas sure are good with the propaganda!
And wouldnt you think that being online would make you *less* crunchy? Its pretty funny!
